Pearson, Russell G. Died on November 2, 2012. Born on October 20, 1922 in Lengby, Minnesota to Jonas and Maria Pearson. Preceded in death by parents, five sisters, one brother and a half brother. Survived by wife, Delores and children, Larry (Carolyn), Mary Jo (Bill Caccia) Pearson, Thomas (Donna), Jeff, Patricia (Greg Sharp), Lori (Jim Bittker) and Michael (Aimee); 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Graduated from Fosston High School in 1941. Enlisted in the Army Air Corps Dec. 29 1941 and was discharged Dec. 12, 1945. Served overseas in the Aleutian Islands as a Radio Operator Gunner on a B-24. Worked as a Janitor Engineer for the Minneapolis School Board for 32 years. Life member of VFW Post 435 (Drill Team) Enjoyed hunting, fishing, following all sports and playing the harmonica. (Happy Wanderers). Also enjoyed writing poetry and dancing with his wife. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 11 AM at the Church of the Annunciation, 509 West 54th Street. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4-8PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave. So. and one hour prior to Mass. Memorials preferred to the Salvation Army.
