Sandra Jean Garner, 83, of Pacolet, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Born November 5, 1931, in Pacolet Mills, she was the daughter of the late Chester Felix Parker and Winnie Thompson Parker.

Mrs. Garner retired from the Post Office in Pacolet after 30 years of service. She was a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church where she worked with the GA’s and in the nursery.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years Jimmy Garner; a son, Kenneth Earl Garner and wife Terri; a daughter, Marsha Lynn Mabry and husband Michael; son-in-law, Steve Gibson; 7 grandchildren, one raised in the home, William West; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Juanita Sanders and husband Dale. She was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Gibson; and a sister, Mary Alice McSwain.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Pacolet First Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Sparks. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Social Hall. Private burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pacolet First Baptist Church, 310 West Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372.
