In 1817 in Scituate, MA Mercy married widower Capt. NEHEMIAH MANSON, SR., b.1760, Scituate, MA, d.1832, Scituate, MA, with whom she had children, two of whom, Davis Jenkins Manson and James Manson, drowned at a young age while at sea with their father. Capt. Nehemiah Manson was widower of HANNAH (LINCOLN), his first wife, who died in 1816 and with whom he also had had children.)
