Sue Ann Ethridge, 82, of Oglesby, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, her 56th wedding anniversary. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 7, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, in McGregor. Interment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Sue Ann was born in Knox City, Texas, to the late Allen Galloway Guy and Irma (Bean) Guy. She married Billy Guy Ethridge on June 3, 1959. They were longtime residents of Oglesby, Texas. Sue Ann received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin at age 19, her Master's degree from The University of Houston, and her counseling degree from Baylor University. She was a lifetime member of The Texas State Teachers Association, and a member of the McGregor Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Allen Shaw Guy and Clovis Ray Guy.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Guy Ethridge, of Oglesby; daughter, Marti Futrell and husband, Kyle; granddaughter, Kyleigh Ann Futrell; sister, Marie Tomlinson and husband, Bill; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
