June O. Gibson, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. June was born in Dickson City, Pennsylvania on July 16, 1916. She moved here from Mattituck, NY in 1995. She loved gardening, dancing, and playing the organ. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and husbands James Georges (1960); Harold Koop (1976) and Ed who passed in 2008 after thirty years of marriage. Her last employment position was with The New York League for The Hard of Hearing in Manhattan. She was a member of Joy Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ocala. June is survived by her daughters Constance Adams (Bob) of Dunnellon and Dolores Betz of Colonia,NJ and her step-son Edward Dennis Koop (Darleen) of Cummings, GA; two grandchildren and her fur pal Blue Boy the cat. A visitation will be on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10:00AM at Joy Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ocala. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Memorial contributions may be given to the Legacy House, c/o Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478 or the charity of one's choice.
