Lawrence Albert Tiemeyer, 77, of West Deaver Road, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at his home.
Lawrence was born August 14, 1937, in Jackson County, the son of Albert and Goldie Beckemeyer Tiemeyer. He married Noma Young September 15, 1967.
Mr. Tiemeyer lived his early life in Jackson County before moving to Bartholomew County where he graduated from Columbus High School. He was employed at Cummins Inc. for 40 years before retiring in 1996 and was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Lawrence was a board member of CREAK Club and had traveled to every state in the Union and eleven foreign countries. He enjoyed four-wheeling, music, attending bluegrass shows, and sitting on the porch swing.
Survivors include his wife, Noma; and a son, Michael A. Tiemeyer of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Edward Tiemeyer and Robert Tiemeyer; and a sister, Dorothy Manley.
