Myron was born April 17, 1934 in Ogden, Iowa, to Floyd and Viola (Moody) Morgan. He was a 1952 graduate of Perry High School. Myron and Shirley Lanham were united in marriage March 18, 1956 in Perry, Iowa. They moved to Oklahoma where Myron served in the Army from 1956-1958. After leaving the Army, they returned to Dallas Center to the family farm and began a dairy operation, retiring 1997. He continued to farm the ground until his death. After retirement, he worked at McDonalds in Urbandale. Myron served on the Board of Directors for Mid-America Dairymen and currently was a member of the Central Iowa Two Cylinder Club.
Myron is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons and spouses, Kelvin (Debbie), Des Moines and Carvel (Barbara), Davenport, Iowa; daughters and spouses, Cheryl (Ken) McCoy, Des Moines, Carla (Kevin) Squires, Waukee, Kathy (Rick) Spoelstra, Templeton, Iowa and Colleen of Dallas Center; his mother, Viola of Perry and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd; his brother, Doyle and a daughter, Brenda.
