Stella Jenkins Bodily, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2015.

She was born September 11, 1928 in Ballard, Utah to Charles Lorenzo and Pearl Watkins Jenkins.

Stella married her high school sweetheart, Garne W. Bodily on September 25, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived and raised their family in the Millcreek area of the Salt Lake valley.

Stella was the youngest daughter in a family of nine siblings. Her father died when she was only 7 and so she learned at a young age to be a hard worker on the family farm.

She enjoyed serving in many callings in the LDS church and even served as YW camp director while in her 70's. Stella patiently endured 29 single years of being a widow after Garne died. We find much joy as we think of their great reunion in Heaven this week.

Stella is survived by her children; Kristy DeMille (Tristan), Edward Bodily (Karen), Robert Bodily (Julie), 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garne, her son, Randall, her parents and siblings, Chuck, David (Tip), Jennie, Cecil, Lydia, Jay, Ilene, and Junior.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View 12th Ward, 2125 E. Evergreen Ave, Salt Lake City.

Friends and family may visit Friday, June 5, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral.

Burial will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial gardens.
