He graduated from Bridgton Academy* in Maine.


He served in the U.S. Army Military police at Ft McClellan in Alabama, Camp Casey in Korea, Ft McNair and Ft Meyers in the Military District of Washington.


His New Hampshire law enforcement years included Hampton Police, Hooksett Police and New Hampshire State Police Highway Enforcement before his retirement in 2006.


He was a member of the Sons of American Legion, VFW, Elks, Moose, Eagles and Society of American Baseball research.


He is survived by his wife Heidi of Concord, NH; two sons Tyler Massey of Boston, MA; Sean Massey of McCord, WA; his sister Dorothy Stefanik of Holyoke, MA.
