Dennis L. Horton, Jr.,Etters Pa 32, died Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2006, as the result of a drowning accident in the Juniata River in Granville Township, Mifflin County. He was the husband of Kelly (Adkins) Horton. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday at Redland Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 3555 Lewisberry Road, York Haven, with the Rev. Stephen Lane officiating. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. There will be no viewing. BeaverUrich Funeral Home, Inc., Lewisberry, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Horton was born July 21, 1973, in Lewistown. He was the son of Dennis L., Sr. and Geraldine (Horne) Horton of Etters. He was a forklift operator at the Giant Distribution Center in Carlisle, where he had been employed for the past 11 years. He was a graduate of Redland Area High School and attended Cumberland Perry Vocational-Technical School. Mr. Horton attended the Redland Valley Brethren in Christ Church. He enjoyed music and movies, but his life revolved around his family. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Horton leaves a son, Chance J. Horton of Etters; two daughters, Ashleigh and Brianna Little, both of Etters; a sister and brother-in-law, Leslie M. and Timothy S. Kline of New Cumberland; a niece, Megan Kline of Camp Hill; and a nephew, Erik Kline of New Cumberland. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N.
