Services for Karen and Roy Pike
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 for Roy W. and Karen Y. Pike of Columbus, Ohio, at the Northwest United Methodist church in Columbus. John Longsworth and Rev. Timothy Forbess will officiate. Interment will in the Union cemetery in Columbus.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus.
Karen Y. [Johnson] Pike, 47, was born Feb. 21, 1943 at Akron, Iowa to Harold and Helen Ross Johnson. She attended Akron schools and graduated from Akron Community high school in 1961. She was a graduate of South Dakota State University, Brookings, where she received her B.S. degree. She was a registered dietician at Doctor's Hospital in Columbus.
She was a member of the Northwest United Methodist church; PEO Sisterhood; Four Seasons Garden Club and the American Dietetics’ Association.
Karen and Roy Pike were married Sept. 11, 1965 at Wesley United Methodist church in Akron.
She is survived by three sons, Paul R., Kevin B. and Scott M., all of Columbus; her parents, Harold and Helen Johnson of. Akron, Iowa; two brothers and sisters-in-law. Ken and Joyce Johnson of Albert Lea, Minn., and Paul and Barbara Johnson of Akron; her mother-in-law, Betty Jane Pike; a sister-in-law, Joyce P. Pike, both of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.
