Barbara Roe Buckner, age 88, of Munfordville, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday afternoon, April 22, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was a homemaker and a farmer. Barbara was a member of the Boiling Springs Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late David Lee Bratcher and Roberta Brown Bratcher. Barbara was born on January 28, 1935 in the Logsdon Valley community of Hart County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert "Bobby" Buckner in 2008, by one brother Herbert Bratcher and her sisters Marie Basham & Emma McCorkle.
Barbara is survived by her three children Billy Buckner (Susan), Jo Estes (Bobby), and Jennifer Goodman (Jeremy); One brother Lee Bratcher, Jr.; 12 grandchildren Hollie Sims (Jeremy), Kyle Buckner (Hallie), Doug Estes (Amber), Zak Wilson, Brittany Goodman (Tailor), Gage Goodman, Jadyn Goodman, Samantha Wilson & Chelsea Wilson, Elizabeth Montgomery, Amanda Montgomery, and Ian Prasse (Katana); 14 great-grandchildren MaKayla (Kyle), Mason, Melanie, Bevyn, Daisy, Cora Roe, Preston, Preslee, Clayton, Kaeson, Hudson, Weston, Camille and Samantha. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and her fur baby Bouncer.
The funeral service for Barbara Buckner will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, April 26th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Eastham officiating, burial will follow in the Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8pm Tuesday and after 8am Wednesday at the Sego Funeral Home. The family request that memorials be given to the Gideons International for Bibles."
