Ray was preceded in death by his wife, companion and friend, Frances Freeman; his son, Larry Salter; and his daughter, Glenda Waller.
Ray Freeman was born Aug. 9, 1926. He lived a full and honorable life. He was a faithful and devoted husband and a man who was dedicated to his family. Ray lived his life with Jesus Christ at the forefront of his heart, mind, and soul. God was always first - allowing him to be the best husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Ray spent his life serving others. He was a faithful member and deacon at Wright Baptist Church. He spent years dedicated to mentoring children through vacation bible school and volunteering in the widow's ministry.
He loved playing golf and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as a kind, sweet, loving man with an infectious smile and positive attitude.
Services are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at Wright Baptist Church. Friends and family will be received at 10 a.m. with the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wright Baptist Church in honor of Ray Freeman.
