Ann Rhoades Leonard, 94, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 30, 2015.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at ten o’clock in St. Pius X Catholic Church on North Elm Street. A private graveside service with family members will be held immediately following the Mass. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Mike & Amy Leonard, 1011 Rollingwood Drive.

Ann Rhoades Leonard was born on December 17, 1920 in Oil City, PA to the late Randall Pennell and Bertha Borland Rhoades. She graduated from the Oil City School of Nursing. Ann continued her training at Fort George Training Center in Maryland. She was an army nurse during WWII and served in England returning to the US on the Queen Mary. Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor she served in Hawaii. She then was transferred to Fort Knox, KY where she met the love of her life, William (Bill) A. Leonard, Jr. MD. They were married May 28, 1947.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her daughter, Judith, son, Daniel, son-in-law, Thomas M. Lowe, and brother, Colonel Donald Rhoades.
