Sharon A. Boyer, 72, of Highspire, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
She retired as a medical assistant from Myers Surgical Associates, Linglestown; 1961 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, Harrisburg, and a graduate of the former Harrisburg Medical Arts and Business School; a member of Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill. She was the widow of Michael Allan Boyer Sr.
Sharon enjoyed playing the piano, loved crafts of all kinds, was an awesome baker and seamstress, and was most happy at the beach. Born on January 5th, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Frances E. (Kean) Dodge.
Surviving are four sons, Richard L. Boyer of Lemoyne, Michael William Boyer (Lori) of Dillsburg, Michael A. Boyer Jr. (Diane) of Camp Hill and Brad P. Boyer (Sherri) of Highspire; two daughters, Margaret-Mary Boyer of Harrisburg and Susan L. Boyer-Martin (Chris) of Middletown; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Peters of Gardnerville, Nevada, and Kathleen Dodge Garrett of Kramer; nine grandchildren; a great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with Pastor Shane Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central of PA (hospiceofcentralpa.org), 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
