Lovetta M. Harmon, age 70, of Calhoun, died at 2:55 AM, on Monday, April 3rd, 2006 at her residence in Calhoun.
Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12 Noon with funeral services to follow immediately thereafter on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006 in the Chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Richland County. The Reverend Mark Uzupan, Pastor of Silver Street Pentecostal Church will be the officiating minister.
Lovetta was born on December 7th, 1935 in Fayette County, Illinois the daughter of Jess and Freida (Best) Simmons. She later married Robert Harmon on April 18th, 1954 in Olney. He survives.
Lovetta was a member of the Silver Street Pentecostal Church in Olney and will be sadly missed by her family, friends and fellow church members. She worked as a housekeeper at the Holiday in Olney until her retirement.
Lovetta is survived by her husband of 53 years. Robert Harmon, two sons, Daniel Joseph Harmon of Christopher, IL., Steven Ray Harmon of Terrill, TX., 2 daughters, Darlene Kay Miller, and her husband Curt of Mt. Vernon, IL., Stephanie Lorene Gerber of Calhoun, and 1 brother, Donald Simmons, and his wife Joann of Mt. Erie, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
