Sgt. Justin D. Norton of Rainier, Washington had wanted to be a soldier since age 5 but he had to get through school first. So he was a good student at Rainier High School, making friends and laughing alot, playing football and wrestling. And oh yes, he liked to joke around. The day came that he was old enough to join the Army and he loved what he was doing, fulfilling a commitment he had made with a gung-ho attitude. During his last visit home in February 2005, he told of his plan to enroll in the Community College to study criminal justice as soon as he completed his tour of duty. He wanted to be buried in a local cemetery where he worked a summer job. One of his duties was pulling weeds around the veteran's wall and he wanted to join those members of his hometown. He is survived by his mother, Chris; his brother, Joshua Warnock; his father and stepmother, Jeff and Sandy Norton, and grandparents. He was 22.
