The soldier buried here is not the Isom Gillum/Gillam/Gilliam that was born in 1802/1812 in Scott County, VA. It is his nephew that was born ca. 1846-47 in Carter Co. KY. Isom, the younger was captured in Magoffin Co. KY. On the prison records he is noted as being 18 years old. His uncle Isom was a citizen guerilla captured in Carter Co. KY and sent to Camp Chase OH, then Johnson's Island OH, then on to Lockout MD. You also, have Isom Gilliam the younger buried in Crown Hill Cemetery but dying in Carter County, Kentucky. I would be glad to supply you with all of the military records that I have found on both Isom, the elder and Isom, the younger.
