Jeanette Bonifacius Long, a lifelong resident of Wartburg, Tennessee, was born May 1, 1925, and departed this life on June 2, 2015. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Wartburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel C. Bonifacius, Sr., and Ethel Howard Bonifacius. She was also preceded by her husband of 46 years, James Balaam Long. Sisters: June Cox, Jane Brys, and Anna Joyce Goodman; Brother: D.C. Bonifacius, Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Virginia Jo Oney (Earl), Children Sandra Long Leopper (Fred); Roger B. Long (Alberta); and Richard L. Long (Cathy) Grandchildren Dana Leopper Isham (John), Eric Leopper (Angela), Daniel Leopper, Carrie Goodman (Louis), Matthew B. Long, Alisia Freels (Doug), and Andrea Bingham (Brad) 9 great-grand children; Erin Isham, Allison Leopper, Joshua Leopper, Willard Goodman, Edward Goodman, Anna Freels, Allison Freels, Addison Bingham, and Brock Bingham; and numerous nieces and nephews; Life-long special friends Carl Settles, Christine Vespie and JoAnn Solomon and Rusty.

Jeanette was a life-long caregiver to many in her family and the community. She began her working career helping her father, Dan, owner of the Morgan County News, and during World War II, was one of the original "Girls of Atomic City" at Oak Ridge Y-12.

She enjoyed cooking and catering many meals, and especially sharing them with family and friends. She was an active member of the Wartburg Senior Citizens Group. She is renowned for her Fried Apple Pies, Cinnamon Rolls, Potato Salad, Dressing, and Fried Chicken. Everyone that knew her loved her, and knew that she always put everyone else first and never wanted to inconvenience anyone. She was always one of the first to offer help to those in need.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00PM with Bro. Pat McGee officiating. Graveside services will be Friday Morning, June 5, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Morgan Memorial Gardens, Wartburg Tennessee.
