BOSSIER CITY, LA - Paul Emerson Stevenson, 77, passed away on May 30, 2015 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held at Boone Funeral Home's Bossier City chapel on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 5-7 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at Boone Funeral Home's Bossier City chapel on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Kirk Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow at the Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana.

Paul Stevenson was born a twin on July 23, 1937 in Linton, Ohio to Herman and Virginia Stevenson. He graduated from Mason High School in Mason, Michigan in 1956. At age 19, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he would go on to achieve rank of Master Sergeant after 23 years of active duty. He was an American patriot and honorably served his country in Vietnam. After the military, he enjoyed a simple life with his family and dog, Sandy.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Mable Perez Stevenson; parents, Herman and Virginia Stevenson; and his sisters Delores Lavender and Evelyn Gosnell.

He is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Stevenson Gibbs; grandchildren, Megan Gibbs Talley and Ian Gibbs; brothers Wendell, Kermit, Larry and David Stevenson; sister Marilyn Perrine; and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Kenny Davis, Randy Parker, David Key, Tim Gibbs, Ian Gibbs and Drew Talley.
