She was a very giving woman and loved all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a retired nurse and while working as a nurse was known as the "White Lightning" because usually all you could see of her was the end of her lab coat as she hurried to a patient.
She is survived by two daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence Emory and Doris Evelyn (Peterson) Zimmerman, brother Lawrence I "Larry" Zimmerman, sister Patricia "Pat" (Zimmerman) Irvin and her ex-husband George Arthur Eugene "Gene" Flaherty.
Moms last wishes were to be cremated and ashes divided between her two daughters. A private family celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm on the lawn of the County Library, Conway Arkansas.
Cremation arrangements were handled by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway Arkansas.
