She was a native of Washington County, born January 26, 1931 to the late Augustus Wilson and Arlie White Bishop. She was a member of the St. Dominic Catholic Church and a former member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Louisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Steven Seng on April 11, 1985, a son, Fredrick Steven Seng on October 30, 1992, a granddaughter, Stephanie Erin Seng on October 30, 1992 and two brothers, Paul Bishop on November 19, 1996 and Vance Bishop on July 19, 2008.
Before returning to Springfield in 1989, Mrs. Seng lived in the Fern Creek Community where she raised her children. In 1992, she along with her daughters began managing the Cecconi's Restaurant, where she was noted for her grand cream pies and desserts.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Seng, of Springfield and Vhonda Barlow (Joe Mudd), of Springfield; daughter-in-law, Karen Seng, of Louisville; former son-in-law, Randy Barlow, of Bardstown, KY; four grandchildren, Matthew Steven Seng (Jessica), Joshua Edward Barlow, Johnathon Quentin Barlow and Jordan Fredrick Barlow; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Steven Seng Jr., Isaiah Fredrick Seng and Julianna James; and a brother, Quinten Bishop (Sue), of Springfield.
Service: 1 p.m. Monday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Washington County. Visitation: 4-9 p.m. Sunday. Contributions may be made to: Hospice of Central Kentucky Campbellsville Office.
