MILBURN - Services for Melissa Gayle Bird, 32, of Mulvane, Kan., were held Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Milburn Baptist Church, Bob Page and Rev. Charlie Carter officiating. Interment followed at the Bold Springs Cemetery. The daughter of Roger and Marilyn (Perkins) Whittington, she was born June 18, 1971, in Talihina, and died Oct. 17, 2003 in Mulvane, Kan.
She was a domestic beautician and a homemaker.
Survivors include her parents, Rodger and Marilyn Whittington of Milburn; her husband John Bird of the home; a son, John Rodger Bird of the home; a brother Wade Whittington of Milburn; her maternal grandmother, Selma Perkins of Tishomingo; her grandfather, Charles Rodger Whittington; two nephews and a host of other family members.
Services were held under the direction of Clark Funeral Service, Tishomingo.
