ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- James Lynn Ferguson, 55, of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of Charleston, died at 4:13 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 9, 1998) at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Charles, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Sims officiating. Burial will be in Salisbury Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Masonic rites at 8 p.m.

He was born Nov. 9, 1942, in Charleston, a son of James Edward and Phyllis Hudson Ferguson. He married Betty L. MacKenzie; she survives.

Other survivors include one son, Jason Kataras of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Greg Ferguson of Charleston and Mike Ferguson of Louisiana; and one sister, Diane Winnett of Lakeland, Fla.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Mr. Ferguson was a retired welder. He was a member of Charleston Masonic Lodge AF/AM 35, the Danville Consistory, American Legion Post 312 of St. Charles, Mo., and Harley Owners Group of St. Charles, Mo.,
