Mary Barendse was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 28, 1902. She was the daughter of John Barendse and Nellie Worst. The family was residing at 239 Sigsbee St. at this time. [note: address numbers changed in 1912 in Grand Rapids.] The child died on June 19, 1903 of pneumonia. She was age 10 months-22 days old. She is buried in a small grave in Fulton St. Cemetery.
