Obituary - Joseph Ball
Capt Joseph Ball died at Spencerport last week, Friday. He was born in Berkshire County, Mass., April 30, 1787 and on the 30th of next month would have been 101 years old. He came to Ogden in 1824 and bought land near what is known as Ogden Centre where he resided up to the time of his death. He leaves but two living children - Albert and Kate. The former lives in Wisconsin, and the latter is the wife of Mr. Gott, of Spencerport.
