Sandra L. “Sandy” McCormick, age 53, of Sylvania, passed away June 1, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Sandy was born on May 21, 1962 to Charles and Lois (Mangold) Meyer, Sr. in Toledo. She was a LPN in the nursing industry. She worked at Villa North and at Arbors of Waterville. Sandy is survived by her husband, Arelious “Bill” McCormick, Jr.; daughter, Nikki (Michael Jackson) Krompak; step-son, Arelious (Trina) McCormick, III; parents, Charles and Lois Meyer, Sr.; grandchildren, Terriana, DeeAndre, Ayana and Aubrey; siblings, Charles (Shirley) Meyer, Jr., Constance (Steven) Lydon and Gregory (Jennifer) Meyer; best friends, Shelly (Fred) Rose and Elizabeth (Patrick) Kriner; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dustin Krompak. The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo with Funeral Services beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
