Sarah R. Henson age 70, of Helenwood, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott. She was born January 21, 1945 in Alabama to the late Joe Jr. Sisk and Gladys Laney Sisk. She was a Member of the Goose Pond Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Son: Terry Wayne Ake; Sisters: Louise Hancock and Ina Jones; Grand Daughter: Jordan Lee Ake; Step-Daughter: Charlotte Brinker.
She is survived by her husband: H. T. Henson; Children: Gerald Ake and Sonja Weldy; Step Children: Sue Dorum and husband Gary, Tom Henson, Ben Henson and wife Allie, Kathy Russ and husband Rob, Mary Terry and husband Mark, Patty Egerton and husband Hardin, Cheryl Perry and husband Danny; Grandchildren: Amanda Ake, Jeremy Ake and Joshua Ake; Great Grandchildren: Zackery Kirk, Serria Kirk, Madison Steely, Alyssia Steely, Donovan Weldy, Charity Weldy and Daniel Weldy; Sisters: Marie Akery and Opal Shane; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M., Friday Evening, June 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday Morning, June 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Guy Ainsworth and Bro. Ben Henson Officiating. Music will be provided by Ben & Allie Henson, Kathy Russ and Lonnie Lowe. Burial will follow in the H. T. Henson Family Cemetery in the New River Community.
Pallbearers will be Ben Henson, Tommy Henson, W. J. Harrison, Jeremy Ake, Josh Terry and Matthew Terry.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Dylan Henson.Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of the arrangements for the family of Sarah R. Henson.
