Harvey Monroe Edwards, 97, of Siloam Springs, AR passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Siloam Springs Nursing & Rehab.
Mr. Edwards was born May 18, 1918 in Summers, AR; he was the son of William and Mable Edwards.

Harvey was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II in the Aleutian Islands and in the Pacific Theatre; the Marshall Islands, Philippine Islands and Okinawa, Japan. He worked several years for the City of Siloam Springs Water Department. Harvey enjoyed fishing and camping, he also enjoyed going to the Senior Center to play dominoes. Mr. Edwards was of the Christian faith.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Della Ada Edwards and his second wife Elsie Mae Edwards, 2 brothers Hallic & Alfred Edwards, 2 sisters Euna Winkler & Eula Parrish, 2 grandsons Duane & Roger Edwards.

The service will be held at the Backstrom – Pyeatte Chapel on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10:00 am. Rev. Marvin Lloyd will officiate the service. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs under the direction of Backstrom – Pyeatte Funeral Home.
