James L. "Butch" Brown Sr., 72, of Carefree died May 10, 2015 at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. He was born May 9, 1943 in New Albany to the late James W. and Lois Schlensker Brown. He was retired Supervisor at Celanese Chemical Plant in Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Naomi Ruth Tucker, his brother, Dwayne Brown, his sister, Sharon McIntosh and his grandchildren, Emily McNair and Trenton McIntosh. Survivors include his son, James L. "Bubba" Brown, Jr.of Milltown; his daughters, Sheila J. Keith (Quentin) of Laconia; Teresa A. and Chantal R. Brown both of Corydon, his sisters, Linda Brown of Georgetown and Ann Sewell (Phil) of Huntingburg; his grandchildren, Mandy and James McIntosh Jr., Jacob Keith, Logan and Caitlyn Welch, Dustin Purcell, Dakota Brown, Samantha Kay Allen and Kaidin Messer and his great grandchildren, Haley Reynolds, Gracie, Lexus, Conner, Austin & Luke McIntosh, Clara Allen, Carlie, Bailee and Jaxon Purcell and Cayden & MaKynleigh Loetz. There will be a celebration of Life and gathering of friends from 2 - 4 pm, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the El Bethel Church Fellowship Hall near Carefree. Everyone is invited to join the family for a time of remembrance and a pitch-in dinner to follow. Arrangements by Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home.
