Born February 12, 1929, in Buffalo, NY, to William and Ruth Marks, Patti grew up in Columbus, OH. She moved to Kansas City when she was a teenager and lived in Raymore at the time of her passing. She attended Graceland College in Lamoni, IA, where she received her Associate in Arts degree in 1949. Later in life, she went back to college and received her Bachelor of Arts in 1980, and Master of Arts in Speech Communication in 1983, from CMSU. Patti worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and production artist at several Kansas City companies, but found her most rewarding job was being a teacher at Dickinson and Wright Business Schools in Overland Park from 1987, until her retirement in 2002. She took great pride in her students and her accomplishments. Patti passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with fibrosis on July 1, 2005. Patti was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 40 years, Thomas J. Baldridge. Tom and Patti are dancing together again. Patti is survived by her daughter, Linda Baldridge Howell, husband, Rick, and son, Alexander; son, Danny and his family, Katie and Mason; Patti's brother, Bill Marks and nephew Bill, Jr.; daughter, Theresa Bailey, husband, Steven and their family; sister-in-law, Marge Janssen; niece, Kay Steele and her son, Christopher; nephew, Joe Janssen and his son, B.J.; and a host of cousins in Florida. A Celebration of Patti's life will be at Rick and Linda's home Saturday afternoon, July 9th, from 2 to 5 p.m..
