Adelbert Bass formerly of this town, died in Grand Rapids Michigan, December 23, 1910, age 68 years. He was a member of the Co C 100th Regiment New York Vol. Infantry in listing 1861 and remained at the front until the close of the war, never having been in the hospital. He was all through the siege of Fort Sumpter and came home in 1865 his health greatly impaired from which he never fully recovered. Mrs. Ella Davy a sister, was with him during the last months.
