Glen "Pat" Harlan Patterson 86, passed away, Thurs., Jan. 20, 2005. He was a resident of Greenwood. He was born on April 22, 1918 in Cassville, Wisconsin. His parents were Harley R. & Rose L. (Orcutt) Patterson. He married Mary Frances Epley in 1948. She preceded him in death on Aug. 13,1962. He married Helen J. (Egenolf) Patterson on Aug. 30, 1969 in Indianapolis. She survives. Other survivors include, one sister Charlotte Pigg of Dubuque, IA, many nieces and nephews and other relatives, Martha Dempsey and Bobby Goodwin and their children. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Gerald, Lynn and Ned and two sisters, Erma Lyons and Jean Sheehan. Pat was in the CCC for two years and then worked construction on the dams, locks and bridges along the Mississippi River. He worked as a supervisor on the flood wall in Cincinnati. He was a US Army veteran of WW II. After the war, he was employed by Eli Lilly & Co. for 33 years, before retiring in 1981. He was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church and the Greenwood Community Center. Mass will be conducted at 10:30 am, Tues., Jan 25 at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St. Greenwood. Family visitation will be private. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, where military graveside rites will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church Gym Fund or to the St. Francis Hospice. G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
