Lisetta married William Aldendorf May 12, 1853, in Bartholomew Co., Indiana. William Aldendorf was a shoe and bootmaker. They were parents of at least eight children, the first several of whom were baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church at Whitecreek, in rural Bartholomew Co.; and the younger ones at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Columbus, Indiana.

After William Aldendorf's death in 1875, Lisetta married second to Julius M. Turner, Dec. 18, 1879, in Bartholomew Co. Turner was a grocer, and in 1880, the bigger Aldendorf boys were clerking in their step-father's store.

By 1900, Lisetta and her surviving four sons had moved to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She had resumed using the surname Aldendorf, and nothing more is known of Julius Turner, the second husband. Lisetta's death occurred after a large piece of furniture, a wardrobe, fell on her. She was buried at Oakland Cemetery, which was later moved to Mount Royal.

Lisetta's mother, Mariah E. (Buckner) Wietharen, was born in Germany, Feb. 12, 1797; and was living with Lisetta in Indiana in 1880. Mariah died Jan. 5, 1888, in Allegheny City, Pennsylvania, aged 90 years, 10 months, 24 days, as noted in the Evening Republican in Columbus, Indiana, Monday, Jan. 9, 1888. Her burial place is undetermined.
