Marjorie L. George, 95, of Keokuk, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at River Hills Village in Keokuk.
She was born on July 27, 1919, in Fairfield, IA, to Ray and Bonnie (Reed) Boley. She was united in marriage to Robert R. George on March 11, 1939, in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1997.
She was a lifelong resident of Keokuk, where she was a homemaker and raised her family. She was also a member of the Keokuk Area Hospital Auxiliary and the First Baptist Church.
Marjorie is survived by four grandchildren, Paul (Brandy) George, Michele (Scott Winkler) Batley, Jacob Wright and Sarah Wright; six great-grandchildren Kinnick, Sophia, Tiffany, Jerod, Brooke and Daniel; and her son-in-law Fred Wright.
She was preceded in death by her son, Les George, her daughter Chris Wright, her parents and two brothers.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Keokuk National Cemetery with Pastor Dale Thomas officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Keokuk.
