Sadie worked as a supervisor at Foster Forbes, retiring in 1990. She loved the Lord, being a member of House of Worship for All People. Sadie loved socializing with everyone and was an active member of the Black Dragons MC and the GM Sympathy Club. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, sewing, visiting her sisters, having flowers everywhere, both inside and out, and drinking coffee. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Eugene (Gina) Lett, Marion, Cynthia Pearl (Samuel) Martin, Troy, MI, Richard (Denise) Stewart, Jr., Marion, Sondra Lynn (Allen) McCullough, Marion, Belinda Annette Stewart, Marion, and Harry Norman (Lynaei) Stewart, Marion; step-children, Erwin (Vicki) Jones, Dunkirk, IN, Clayton (Linda) Jones, Louisville, KY and Clinton (Nora) Jones, Marion; sisters, Alice Marie Smith-Simpson, Cleveland, OH , Barbara Colleen Griffin, Marion, and Ruthanne (Marcell) Mills, Marion; uncle, Jay Frank Weaver, Marion; aunt, Alta Wilson, Marion; a host of brothers and sisters-in-law; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Sadie was preceded in death by her son, James LaVaughn Stewart; godson, Anthony “Tony” Andrews; sister, Patricia Helen Martemus, and step-daughter, Patricia Mitchell.
Services for Sadie will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1204 W. 14th St. Marion, IN 46953 with Elder Thomas Nukes officiating. Burial will follow in Estates of Serenity.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave. Marion, IN 46952. A second time of visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the church.
