Thomas H. West, 81, of Panama City, Fla., passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015.

He proudly served his country in the U.S.A.F. for 31 years, retiring as Chief Master Sgt. He retired after 25 years at Emerald Shores Nursing Home as Facility Manager. He felt his family was the most important thing in life.

Mr. West was preceded in death by his wife, Alma West, and son, Chris West.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sue Ann West Heid (Robert) of Monroe, Connecticut; two sisters, Iree W. Grainger of South Carolina and Maggie W. Sullivan of North Carolina; granddaughter, Ree-Ann Inderdohnen (Mark) of Connecticut; two grandsons, Derek Heid (Kathryn) of Kentucky and Dylan Heid of Connecticut; two great-grandsons, Thomas Goclowski and Samuel Inderdohnen; daughter-in-law, Judy West of Lakeland, Fla.; special friend, Martha Sharp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in the Chapel at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, also at Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Carl Fondren officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
