Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Benson, who passed away at the University of Iowa hospital in Iowa city Tuesday July 13, were held from the Methodist church in Ocheyedan Friday afternoon with Rev. J.L. Ralston in charge. Burial was made in the local cemetery.

Minnie Maske Benson was born on April 13, 1889, near Ocheyedan, Ia., and passed away July 13, 1937, at Iowa City, Ia., following a long illness. She grew to womanhood in this community and spent most of her life here and at Harris, in 1905 she was united inmarriage to Ernest Norenberg of Ocheyedan and to this union six children were born. In 1920 she was again married to Gustave Benson, also of Ocheyedan, who preceded her in death in 1933. To this union were born three children.

She is survived by her children: Leonard and Clarence Norenberg, Ocheyedan, Ia.; Richard Norenberg, Harris, Ia.; Lester Norenberg, Missouri Valley, Ia.; Paul Benson, Grand Mound, Ia.; Gladys and Fern Benson at home; one sister, Mrs. John Wagner, Fulda, Minn.; three brothers, Albert, William and John, all of Ocheyedan. One sister, Mrs. Emma Hattendorf, and one brother Charles Maske preceded her in death.
