Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at St Patrick Catholic Church in Estherville. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at a later date.

Regina May Anderson daughter of Robert and Marie (Leduc) Anderson was born on Oct. 17, 1960 in Madelia, Minn. She passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at her home in Arnolds Park. She received her education in Armstrong and Estherville area schools.

Gennie was a very kind, loving person. She enjoyed making gifts for others, doing crafts, reading and singing. She loved spending time and celebrating the holidays with her family. She competed and won awards in the Special Olympics. She loved the time that she spent with her Hope Haven and Echo Plus friends and family. She attended many music concerts and also enjoyed going to movies. She looked forward to the many visits that she had with her friend Donna Day-Templin.

Left to cherish Gennie's memory are her siblings, Rose and her husband Sid Karles of Burt, Becky and her husband Steve Meyer of Fairmont Minn., Bobi and her husband Bill Kollasch of Armstrong, Ruth and her husband Brad LaRow of Swea City, Rhonda and her husband Roman Eisenbacher of Armstrong, Ron and his wife Becky Anderson of Heath, Ohio, Shelly Anderson of Aurora, Colo., her half-sisters Sarah Anderson of Jackson, Minn. and Shana Anderson of Cherokee, her step-brother David Anderson and his wife Lee of Oglesby, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, step-mother Louise and cherished friend Donna Day-Templin.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Robert Jr., infant sister Robin, infant nephew Dominick, infant great-niece Carla and step-sister Chris Mullin. (Estherville News, Estherville, IA, May 31, 2015)
