Mr. Jack Schwarz of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away at his residence on Monday, May 6th, 2013 at the age of 87 years. He was born Richard Jack Schwarz on January 21st, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas the son of Arthur Louis Schwarz and Rossy Rebecca Meadows. Served in the U. S. Army from July 1st, 1943 to April 23rd, 1959 Discharged with rank of Capt. And was awarded American Theater Campaign Ribbon; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon; Good Conduct Medal; Victory Ribbon; Army Occupation Ribbon (Japan) 1 overseas service bar. Jack married Audrey Mae Williams on August 31st, 1973 in Jourdanton, Texas. He was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in San Antonio, Texas. Jack worked and retired from the Texas Animal Health Commission.

Richard is survived by his wife, Audrey Williams Schwarz of Fredericksburg, two daughters, one son, Dee Dee Brooks; Nino Paredes; and Rico Schwarz, three step children, Mike & Sharon Jones; Cindy & Gary Hallam and Nancy Humphrey, 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at 4:00 P. M. in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, with Rev. Pam Traver officiating.

Interment of his cremains will take place at a later date in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in his memory to the Good Samaritan Center, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, or to the charity of their choice.

The family will greet friends Wednesday afternoon from 3 to 4:00 P. M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
