Rex Ford Rogers, Jr., 91 years, passed away in Holland Michigan on May 15, 2015. Rex was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed playing guitar, mostly country and gospel. Rex served in the United States Marines as radio/radar operator on Guam during World War II. An interview of him can be seen at http://www.gvsu.edu/vethistory. Rex had a zest for life, loved meeting people and spreading his humor. He will be missed.



Myra Jane (Mead) Rogers, 83 years, passed away in Holland Michigan on September 2, 2012. Myra enjoyed fishing, painting, crafting and was an avid reader. She was the quiet and loving supporter of Rex and her family. We are missing her.



They were preceded in death by their son Rex Ford Rogers III, son-in-law Robert Meyer, and grandson Nathan Meyer. Surviving them are their children, Ellen (Rogers) Meyer, Dennis Lohr, Laura (Rogers) Lohr, Klayton Rogers, and Candyce (Cox) Rogers; and grandchildren Rob Meyer, Lance Meyer, Tiffany (Rogers) Appleton, Leanne (Meyer) Wilkins, Amie (Rogers) Kern, and eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

As was their wish, a memorial open house for both Rex and Myra will be held on Friday, June 12 from 1pm-5pm at the Bellevue Conservation Club located at 8484 Greenfield Highway, Bellevue, MI.
