Tech 5 U.S. Army, {RA36323575}, World War II-Tech 5 Gillio was killed in action by small arms fire on 6-8-1944 while serving as a Light Weapons Infantryman with Co. C of the 325th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division.

Cpl. Gillio' body was claimed by his younger brother, Mr. Anthony Gillio, of 304 Clark Street, Oglesby, Illinois, and he enlisted with the Army on 3-9-1942.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Jump Wings, American Campaign Medal, European Campaign Medal with One Battle Star, WWII Victory Medal.
