Lawrence was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served two tours in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Ann Graham Love, of the home; sons, Ray Love and wife Merle of Fla., and Ralph Love and wife Betsy of Durham; daughters, Tina Love, Valerie Curry and husband Ross, and Ginny Thompson and husband Jerry, all of Mebane; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two brothers; and one sister.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Love and Annie Hartley Love; daughter, Melissa Love Spruill; brother, Ray Louis Love; and sister, Mary Sue Greene.The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at the Agape Baptist Church in Mebane, with Dr. John Cornette officiating.The visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, and other times at the residence
