Violet A. McClintock, 85, formerly of Shermans Dale, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in her daughter's home in Newport, WA.

She was born on November 14, 1923 in Shermans Dale to the late John & Ethel (Ziegler) Bentzel.

She was retired as a laboratory technician from Polyclinic Hospital. Violet was a member of the Harrisburg First Seventh-day Adventist Church, where for many years she was involved in pathfinders. She enjoyed cooking, cats, traveling and was an avid gardener.

She was the widow of Ray L. McClintock. Surviving are 3 daughters; Ramona R. Bornman and her husband Franklin of New Bloomfield, Lawanna L. Pahler and her husband William of Newport, WA, Waneta R. Paul and her husband Keith of Columbia, SC, a sister Gloria Trostel of New Bloomfield, a sister-in-law Faith Bentzel of Shermans Dale, 4 grandchildren, a step grandson, 5 great grandchildren, and 3 step great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a sister Muriel Martin, 2 brothers; Paul Bentzel and William Bentzel.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 9, 2009 in the Shermans Dale Seventh-day Adventist Church, 6951 Spring Road, Shermans Dale, with Pastor Gerald Small officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery, Shermans Dale.
