Douglas Patton Hale, 71, of Houston, TX formerly of Tompkinsville, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston.
He was born June 28, 1943 in Monroe County, KY to the late George Clyde Hale and Mary Alice Harlan Hale. He was a retired civil structure engineer for S & B Engineers & Constructors and a member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church.
He was united in marriage on November 2, 1966 to Barbara Nell McDonald Hale who preceded him in death on August 24, 2008.
He is survived by one son: Douglas Patton Hale II and wife Julia of Stafford, VA
One daughter: Amy Hale of Houston, TX, two brothers: Sidney Hale of Tompkinsville, George Hale of Celina, TN, one sister: Marianne Hale Anderson of Bradenton, FL, three grandchildren: Bethany Morgan Hale, Douglas Patton Hale III and Lane Michael Hale.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one sister: Jane Ellen Hale.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn
Visitation will be after 2:00 PM on Friday and after 7:30 AM on Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
Memorials are suggested to the Surfers Healing for Autistic Children.
