Melanie Ferguson, 54, of Gilbert, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 29, 2015, from her residence.

Born December 7, 1960, at Ravanna, Ohio, she was a daughter of Virginia Brown-Ward-King and the late Ershel Ward (Deceased).

Melanie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a billing clerk. She was a member of the Promise Christian Fellowship Church. Melanie loved to sing, and she enjoyed working with her Children’s Ministry at church. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Those left to love and cherish the memories of Melanie include her loving husband of 18 years: Ronnie Ferguson; her mother: Virginia (Junior) King; her son: Chris (Melissa) England; her daughter: Jessica (Kenny) Hatfield; her 3 granddaughters, whom she loved and adored: Taylor England, Amanda England, and Darcie Hatfield; one grandson, who will soon be making his appearance, Chasen England; 4 sisters: Sherry (Larry) Ward-Younce, Karen (Benny) Ward-Toler, Debbie (Mitchell) Ward-Hutchins, and Vicki (John) Ward-Phipps; and one brother: Jeffrey (Viola) Ward. Melanie also leaves behind many special nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 31, from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will commence at 11 AM., on Monday, June 1, at the chapel with Pastor Beverly Birchfield officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hatfield Family Cemetery at Hampden section of Gilbert. Kennith Hatfield, Kenny Hatfield, Jeff Ward, Jeffrey Ward, Jimmy Ferguson, and Dean Hutchins will serve as pallbearers. David Ferguson, Larry Ferguson, and Donald Ferguson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
