FLORENCE, SC -- Phillip Casey Kennedy, 30, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.Mr. Kennedy was born in Marietta, GA, a son of Phillip (Wanda) Kennedy and Linda Sharon Smith Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was a veteran of the US Navy, performing the duties of a non-destructive testing inspector and aviation mechanic. He was currently employed with Applied Technical Services as a non-destructive testing inspector. Mr. Kennedy was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Rion (Brandon) McAllister and Gina Altman, both of Florence; nieces and nephews, Penelope McAllister, Mason Altman and Walker Altman; maternal grandparents, Lawrence (Clara) Smith of Simpsonville, SC and Connie Windham of Florence; step-grandfather, Fuller (Nita) Windham; and his faithful companion, Leroy, his fur-baby. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Kennedy. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Florence Humane Society, P. O.
