Richard K. Lyles, Jr., 35, of Round Rock, Texas, formally of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in Temple, Texas. He was born on July 27, 1979, in Nacogdoches, the son of Teri Lyles Winfree and Richard K. Lyles, Sr.
Funeral Services will be held at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Nick Sholars officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Richard was born in Nacogdoches, but his family soon moved to Lindale, Texas. He graduated from Lindale High School. While there, he competed on the tennis team and played in the band.
Richard met his wife, Danielle, at the Hotel Fredonia in Nacogdoches through a mutual friend. They were married on May 26, 2012. In July 2014, Danielle, Richard and their boys moved to Round Rock, Texas, where Richard worked for Ladder Now as a catastrophic roof inspector.
In what little spare time he had, he enjoyed playing tennis, working in his yard, playing golf and watching television. A special joy in his life was playing with his two boys.
Richard is survived by his wife, Danielle Pagano Lyles; his sons, Kyle Austin Hahn and Archer Ellis Lyles; his mother, Teri Lyles Winfree; his step-father, Gary Winfree; his father, Richard K. Lyles Sr.; sister, Tracy Board and her husband, Michael; his niece, Olivia Board; and a step-sister Jennifer Willmon and her husband, Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ellis and Hilda Hunt; and his paternal grandparents, Ocie and Mary Lyles.
