Mary L. Muhler , 100, passed away peacefully at King James Care Center in Chatham.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Liberty Corner, 45 Church St., Liberty Corner, N.J. 07938. Born in Scranton, Pa., Mary lived in Upper Montclair for more than 60 years, and raised her family there.
Mrs. Muhler took great pride in her large family and enjoyed traveling to Germany to visit her extended family. She also was an avid gardener.
She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Montclair, for 60 years before joining the Presbyterian Church of Liberty Corner. Mary and her late husband, Hans, were members of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America.
Mrs. Muhler is survived by her five children, Marieliese Mihok of New Vernon, Hans and Marie Muhler , of Sea Girt, Rita McCord of Pipersville, Pa., Richard and Linda Arnold of Liberty Corner, and James and Cynthia Marquardt, of Epping, N.H. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
