ANN EMMA JULIAN

Ann Emma Julian, 83, of Alden, a longtime Carborundum Co. plant worker, died Tuesday (Aug. 3, 1999) in Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Niagara Falls, she attended local schools.

She worked in production at the Carborundum plant in Wheatfield for 34 years, retiring in 1980.

Miss Julian was a member of the Carborundum Alumni Club and had served as its secretary for many years. She was a member of the Carmelite Seniors of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Mount Carmel Seniors at the John Duke Center.

She enjoyed traveling and was an avid bowler.

Miss Julian is survived by a brother, William of Pinellas Park, Fla.; and two sisters, Elvira Panacci of Austin, Texas, and Adelaide Tanzella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m., Friday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, following services at 10:30 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
